How the course works

On payment, students may choose to pay for the elderly care training in 3 instalments of R1500. The first instalment is payable on registration. The second instalment is due 4 weeks later. The last instalment is due 4 weeks thereafter.

Upon registration, students will receive the training manual by post. During the first 4-week period of the elderly care training, students are required to study the material at their own pace. All work will be reviewed with students by our expert facilitators during the in-person sessions.

From the 5th week, students will participate in in-person practical training every Saturday for 5 weeks, which includes essential skills for elderly care training, as well as preparation for First Aid certification.

In addition to the First Aid and CPR training manual, students will also receive in-person practical experience and training from qualified First Aid trainers. Upon successful completion of the First Aid certification, students will receive a Level 2 First Aid and CPR certificate.

Students will undergo a written examination. Upon successful completion, students will receive their certificates.
